*Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room*

*Location: St. Louis Park, MN*

*Duration: 8 weeks - Possible Extension*

*Pay Rate: $50/Hr. - $55/Hr.*



*Shift Details:*

· (3) Day/Evening Shifts: 8-hour shifts with varying start times (0700, 0900, 1100, 1500)

· Day/Night Shift: 8-hour shifts with varying start times (0700, 0900, 2300, 1900)

· No set schedule or fixed shift time. Flexibility is required.



*Schedule Requirements:*

· Weekend Coverage: As needed

· Holiday Coverage: As needed, excluding major holidays

· Hours per Week: 32 or 40 hours, depending on hospital needs



*Job Duties:*

· Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly sterilized and arranged for the procedure.

· Assist the surgeon during surgery by passing instruments and supplies, anticipating their needs throughout the procedure.

· Ensure proper instrument counts by performing and documenting accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery to maintain patient safety.

· Handle surgical specimens by collecting and labeling them correctly for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper documentation.

· Maintain sterile technique by monitoring the sterile field and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols throughout the procedure.

· Assist with patient positioning by helping to safely and appropriately position the patient on the operating table according to surgical requirements.

· Clean and restock the OR post-surgery by preparing instruments for sterilization and ensuring the operating room is ready for the next procedure.



*Requirements:*

· Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

· Experience with Epic, DaVinci, Orthopedics (Total Joint), Vascular, and General Surgery is required.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
