This position will work as a member of Tesla's Facilities Controls Team to support installation & integration of control systems, including but not limited to: instrumentation, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and motors. This role will support new construction projects as well as sustainment of existing systems. The successful candidate for this position will have a broad background in electrical and controls systems integration, process knowledge, and troubleshooting ability.
Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and controls equipment and instrumentation utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Makes ready and operational electrical and electromechanical components such as actuators, solenoids, circuit breakers, starters, and VFDs.
• Performs configuration and validation of PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation with controls engineering support and opportunity to grow programming abilities
• Support new project construction and factory improvement efforts
• Understand and apply principles of measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes using instrumentation
• Consulting manuals and interpreting construction documentation such as drawings, specifications, relay logic, and loop diagrams
• Use lifts, ladders, and mobile equipment

• Degree or Technical Certificate, or 2+ years equivalent work experience as a system integrator or automation technician
• Formal electronics training (AC/DC circuits, formulas, and components) or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, relay ladder logic, loop drawings, and P&IDs
• Instrumentation theory, selection, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools and meters, and shop tools and equipment
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines

Expected Compensation
$32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
