Job Title: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay range $26.50 - 27.50/hr
Work Type: Onsite
Location: Elkridge, MD
Job Description:

• Assemble mechanical parts, as instructed in accordance with manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.) into sub-units or complete units.
• Complete small wiring terminations as needed during mechanical assembly.
• Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades, and rework.
• Fabricates brackets, jigs, fixtures, and misc. metal work in support of projects.
• Completes production/quality-related documentation.
• Assembles repairs and fabricates parts by operating mechanical equipment or tools, in conjunction with adhering to proper handling and safety requirements (Cutting and Fabrication).
• Performs work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
• Keep the work area clean and organized so as to present a professional work environment.
• Complete any other work-related task as directed by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen only
• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Overtime is required when needed.
• Mechanical experience with:
• Various types of drilling include through hole, match drilling, countersink, counterbore, and step drilling.
• Schematic reading and comprehension (Mechanical)
• Measuring tools (Calipers, Tape Measure, Feeler gauge, etc.)
• Hand tools (Wrenches, Grinders, Screwdrivers, Torque tools, and small power tools)
• Mathematical conversions (Decimal to Fraction)
• Working understanding of engines and vehicle mechanics

Experience Preference:

• Certifications
• ASD (Automotive Service Excellence)
• HVAC
• Working understanding of hydraulic pumps and cylinders
• 2-5 years related auto mechanical experience from an automotive manufacturer.
