The Geriatrics Nurse Practitioner will provide evaluation and diagnostic services on a PRN basis in multiple Oregon locations, primarily conducting interview-based exams with some physical assessments. They must be qualified in various medical specialties and possess a state license, with a focus on assessing musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. The role includes completing standardized reporting forms within specified timelines without treatment or prescribing duties and requires proficiency with specific medical testing equipment.
Must be within 50 miles
- Klamath Falls- 2 days per week needed
- Roseburg- 2 days per week needed
- Bend- 1.5 days per week needed
Provider s own office locations- Providers must have their own office
- The Dalles- 10 shifts per week (multiple openings)
- Astoria- 10 shifts per week (multiple openings)
- Brookings- 10 shifts per week (multiple openings)
- Coos Bay- 10 shifts per week (multiple openings)
- Grants Pass- 10 shifts per week (multiple openings)
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties:
- family medicine,
- internal medicine
- orthopedic surgery,
- anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Upload Board Certification at time of presentation
- Two (2) options for coverage
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Record review is required in most cases
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)
