Human Resources Manager

About the Job

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of the company HR programs for our newly formed Renewable Natural Gas focused company. The HR Manager will play a critical role in establishing the HR program while growing, retaining and safeguarding the well-being of employees. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR regulations, and the ability to influence a culture of safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organizations of the HR department, including cross-functional technical administrative staff to ensure the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Mentor and develop other employees ensuring alignment with company objectives and safety culture.
  • HR Strategy & Planning: Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR plans that support business growth, retention, and employee satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and oversee HR policies and procedures.
  • HR Systems & Payroll: Ensure data accuracy, reporting, and seamless payroll processing.
  • Develop and Maintain the master library of all HR program documentation.
  • Organizational Development: Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management strategies to ensure operational readiness.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on all HR matters.
  • Create and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention and productivity.
  • Training & Development: Collaborate with operations to assess training needs and develop programs accordingly.
  • Oversee compensation programs, salary planning, and benefits administration.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job postings and candidate screening.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, and orientation.
  • Work closely with Operations and EH&S teams to foster a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Provide regular HR reports and updates to management, highlighting risks, compliance status, and ongoing initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other leads where overlap of work exists.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Two or more years of leadership experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employee performance matters complying with FLSA, Wage and Labor standards and all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Actively participate in trade associations.
  • Ability to engage with cross-functional teams, including EHS, Operations, Finance and various Corporate teams.
  • Experience with relationship building and articulating HR requirements.
  • Effective management of staff to achieve department and company goals.
  • Effective time management, written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude to adapt to dynamic business conditions, including flexibility in working hours, with potential for on-call or emergency response situations.
  • The role will primarily be at the Corporate office, with some travel to field locations throughout the year.
  • Proficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel).

Education

A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree is preferred

Experience

5 or more years of progressive HR responsibility; working in multiple HR disciplines; Experience working with organizational functions and operations personnel; Two or more years of leadership experience
