Job Summary:
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, packaging, counting, and routing materials, ensuring accurate documentation, and operating machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The role involves maintaining inventory, coordinating transactions, and adhering to safety regulations while supporting efficient material flow across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
•Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material handling transactions with relevant individuals or departments.
•Perform tasks such as picking, inventorying, and packaging materials, and route packaging to appropriate departments.
•Assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
•Maintain records of transactions, verifying shipment accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, or other records in Oracle or similar systems.
•Set up locations in ERP systems and resolve purchase order and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyers.
•Arrange stock for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
•Operate forklifts and other material-moving tools and machinery while adhering to all safety rules.
•Deliver received products to the appropriate destinations.
Required Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Experience with ERP systems like Oracle.
•Proficiency in inventory management and material handling tasks.
•Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and packaging processes.
•Ability to operate forklifts and other material-moving machinery.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience in warehouse or material handling roles.
•Strong organizational and communication skills.
•Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
