About the Assignment
Accepts, sorts and packs Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) waste at the Central, Satellite and temporary collection events. Bulks Paint, repackages HHW material and waste from satellite facilities. Assists in the unloading of HHW and VSQ waste from participant vehicles. Prepares products for and manages the Material Reuse Store. Provides other duties as required. Works outside in the elements.
All new employees must adhere to the provisions of the County Fire and Special Districts Dress Code, which prohibits all visible tattoos. Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment. Ability to stand
Requirement description :

• 18+ years of age PLUS High School Diploma/GED at the minimum
• Valid California Class C Driver License - required(may be asked to travel to different drop off locations)
• HAZWOPER certification strongly encouraged
• Must be able to work outdoors on a continuous basis including in extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• MUST possess a clean and cleared background check
• Comfortable in constant bending, lifting & standing for long period of time

Weekend Requirements : Saturdays and holiday rotation if scheduled
