Meta is looking for a Lead Counsel to serve across monetization product and privacy areas. This role will provide strategic legal support to Meta's product and privacy teams in response to global regulatory developments. Assess new legal obligations: working with regional counsel identify, evaluate, and explain new legal obligations across monetization product and privacy areas.Develop product and subject matter expertise: apply this knowledge to provide strategic support for responses to upcoming legal requirements.Think globally: help product and privacy teams understand how requirements in different jurisdictions fit together.Develop durable compliance strategies: drive Meta's Monetization regulatory response compliance strategy, partner with other functions to explore global compliance solutions and follow through to execution and product launch.Anticipate future developments: working with others in Legal, Policy, Product, and Privacy teams, recognize trends in the evolving global landscape.Minimum Qualifications

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar5+ years of practicing legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experienceExperience with one of the following or related legal areas: product or regulatory counseling, privacy, or data protectionPreferred Qualifications

Experience with global privacy legal requirements, especially those relating to social media, digital advertising, or other technologiesExperience with managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictionsExperience of advancing simultaneous projects in a multi-stakeholder environmentExperience of collaborating at all levels of the business including executive and C-suiteAd tech and privacy experienceFor those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.About Meta
