About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to join their Senior Leadership Team. The CBO will be a key player in driving the company's business strategy and productive partnerships, with a focus on innovation, excellence, and learning. This role requires a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 15 years' experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry, and a strong background in business development, licensing, and corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and managing impactful deals, particularly in the sell and buy side, and a deep understanding of the therapeutic drug discovery process. A Ph.D. in a scientific field is preferred, especially with a focus on the Immunology-Oncology space, and the candidate should have an established network in the pharmaceutical industry, biotech companies, investors, and academia.The CBO will be responsible for formulating and executing the company's corporate vision, strategy, and business plan, working closely with the executive leadership team. This includes leading all business development and alliance management efforts, driving strategic planning, and ensuring the successful execution of business deals. The role also involves designing and implementing business development strategies to support the company's long-term growth and coordinating business activities in line with financial sustainability and R&D objectives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to inspire and cultivate a culture of positive change. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work with a variety of audiences and engage both internal and external collaborators.
