About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Sponsored Programs to lead and oversee its grants management program. The successful candidate will be responsible for both pre- and post-award management, with a focus on grants contracting. This role involves providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and fiscal oversight to ensure the efficient implementation of processes and procedures in compliance with federal and other relevant regulations. The Executive Director will also be tasked with monitoring industry trends, assessing their impact, and aligning the program with institutional goals. Key responsibilities include managing a diverse team, process improvement initiatives, and staff training, as well as creating and reporting performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of grants management activities.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 8-10 years' related work experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in grants administration. Expertise in federal and state grants management, clinical research administration, and sponsored programs is essential. The role requires advanced skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with grants management software. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide strategic direction, drive change management, and manage complex organizational structures. Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills are also necessary, as is the ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The Executive Director will be expected to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of grants management procedures and to support the mission of the institution.
