Job Summary

Join our dedicated team in Albemarle, NC, where you will perform nursing care and assist with planning and implementing care for the comfort and wellbeing of patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring clinical and professional competency tailored to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.

Essential Duties
* Participate in patient assessments by determining nursing care needs based on relevant data.
* Recognize and determine the need for immediate intervention.
* Document patient observations, treatments, and responses utilizing the nursing process.
* Assist with the development and revision of care plans by providing data and identifying potential goals and interventions.
* Communicate significant changes in patient status to appropriate clinical staff.
* Implement the identified care plan under the supervision of an RN, ensuring task completion.
* Organize workload and prioritize responsibilities to deliver quality patient care efficiently.
* Document assessments, procedures, patient/family education, and communicate information to healthcare team members promptly.
* Provide and assess the effectiveness of patient and family education under RN direction.

Physical Requirements
* Work involves walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
* Must lift and support 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
* Requires intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, finger dexterity, critical thinking, and concentration.
* Must respond quickly to changes in patient and unit conditions.
* Applicants must undergo a physical ability test as a condition of employment.

Skills and Education
* Current LPN licensure or temporary license as a licensed practical nurse petitioner required.
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
* Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required.

* Contract Length: 13 Weeks
* Specialty/Unit: SNF
* Schedule: Day 7a-7p
* Weekend/Float/On Call Requirements: Every other weekend required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
