  • Position / Specialty: Med Surg RN - Urology/Nephrology
  • Shift: Nights (1845-0715) - manager can also accommodate 4x12s if candidate prefers
  • Average Daily Census: 23. 25 bed unit
  • Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required
  • First-timers accepted: Yes - Want to see they have a solid foundation as an RN if they are new to travel
  • Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
  • Is on-call REQ? No
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes – will float to other Medical Surgical units
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Will try but not guaranteed
  • Locals accepted: Yes- no radius
  • Pending License accepted: No- must have active IL license to apply
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in medical/surgical nursing
  • Active IL RN license required
  • Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Med/Surg
  • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure
  • Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
  • Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin
  • Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Portable Oxygen tank
  • Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
  • Cerner experience required

  • Candidate must review and sign within 7 days of signing contract

  • Flu Vaccine or approved Medical/Religious Exemption required October 1 – April 1
