Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:The

VP, Payment Network Strategy & Analytics

will support the VP of Payment Networks Strategy through the management of the strategic approach to the relationships with the payment networks and the development and execution of data-driven payment networks insights and analytics. This role sits in the Business Strategy & Development (BS&D) function and plays a role in cross-functionally supporting all our business platforms (Digital, Health & Wellness, Home & Auto, Diversified & Value and Lifestyle).Essential Responsibilities :Develop and manage dashboards and ongoing data-driven analytics and insights to provide insight into performance and opportunities with the Payment NetworksCreate content to provide strategic updates to Synchrony's Executive Leadership Team, BS&D leadership, our five business platforms and other key functionsPartner with BS&D and other key functions to continuously evolve our approach to the Payment Networks and Technology Provider RelationshipsSupport the strategic management of the relationship with the Payment Networks and Technology Providers, including contract negotiation, the identification and deployment of network-related products and capabilities and the deployment of joint fundsAssist in Business Development, particularly around both new deals and renewalsCollaborate with Portfolio teams to deliver special projects such as emerging trend research, portfolio strategy updates, and partner workshopsPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:3+ years leveraging data and analytics to drive critical business decisionsBachelor’s degree preferred with 6+ years’ experience in financial services, fintech, or payments or in lieu of a Bachelor Degree, must have a high school diploma / GED with 10+ years' experience in financial services, fintech, or payments2+ years experience in managing strategic relationships, cross-functional management and data and analytics. This could include roles in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, corporate development or other business strategy related roles3+ years of experience with managing cross-functional business partners and senior leadershipStrong communication skills, ability to communicate to C-level, excellent presentation skillsAbility to travel 25%Desired Characteristics:Strategy and analytics experienceExperience in Financial Services, specifically consumer credit and working with the payments networks or technology providersProficient in the use of MS Office product suite with advanced experience with Excel and PowerPointDemonstrated ability to lead problem solving for complex business issues and work with multiple stakeholders and viewpointsMBA or Master’s Degree in finance, marketing, or strategyExperience in developing data-driven perspectives and presenting insights to business leadersHigh-level negotiation, communication, and influencing skillsGrade/Level: 12The salary range for this position is

110,000.00 - 185,000.00

USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Eligibility Requirements:You must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
