Tadhana is a Michelin-recognized Filipino-inspired tasting menu restaurant in New York City, delivering an elevated dining experience that celebrates Filipino flavors through a modern lens. As we expand to include tasting menus, à la carte offerings, a full beverage program, and an extensive wine program at our new, larger location, we are seeking an experienced Sommelier to lead our wine program.

Job Summary
The Sommelier will oversee all aspects of Tadhana’s wine program, curating an extensive and thoughtful selection of wines that complement our cuisine. This role requires a knowledgeable and passionate individual with excellent hospitality skills and a willingness to learn about Filipino culture and flavors to enhance our guests' dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate, manage, and maintain the restaurant's wine list and beverage offerings.
• Provide wine pairings and recommendations to enhance the tasting menu and à la carte selections.
• Train and educate front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, pairings, and service techniques.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for the wine program.
• Ensure compliance with NYC and NYS liquor laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create harmonious food and wine pairings.
• Deliver exceptional guest service, engaging with diners to provide memorable wine experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Sommelier in a fine-dining or Michelin-recognized restaurant.
• Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of global wines, regions, and pairing techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Passion for Filipino cuisine or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
