Successful candidates will be passionate about Sustainable and High Performance Building Design. This individual will manage operations, execution, and expectations for the Mechanical Engineering Discipline. Must be able to lead & manage multiple concurrent projects, be client-facing, and comfortable leading a team and meeting with clients & contractors.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferredLEED accreditation preferred5-10 years’ work experience in the AEC/built environment spaceThorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordinationAdvanced understanding of building codes and mechanical industry standardsAdvanced understanding of mechanical engineering conceptsAble to assemble and run a teamStrong delegation skillsAttention to detail and advanced organizational skillsProficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office SuiteDutiesProject team leadership and discipline project managementPreparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specificationsAttend client meetings, lead coordination effortsEvaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and proceduresUtilize proficiency in mechanical system design, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Energy ModelingAssemble effective project teams; inspire and motivate staffOversee engineering calculations and equipment selectionPerform site visits and issue reportsProvide training, guidance, and development for staffWrite specifications; improve company processesDevelop client relationshipsParticipate on firm leadership committeesMay be responsible as the Engineer of Record (EOR)Serve as a technical resource for the company
