Secondary priority is Total Knee and Total Hip elective cases. Locum must be comfortable seeing ortho/hand and pediatrics3-5 cases per day in OR, 20-25 patients per day in clinic. Typically 2 days OR, 3 days clinic per week, variable days each week due to OR schedulingCall for 6 days out of 7 days unless 7 is requestedSpecifics:Peds - closed reductions, very rare outpatient trauma casesHand - temporize and stabilize but does include being prepared for compartment syndrome and flexor tenosynovitis evaluation and surgery if indicated. Hand surgeon available for definitive fixationArthroplasty - Primary hip and knee arthroplastyTrauma - must be able to do any hip fracture (subtrochanteric, intertrochanteric, hemiarthroplasty), perform closed reduction and spanning external fixators (Stryker Hoffman 3 set in house) for ankle fractures, pilon fractures, plateau fractures and compartment syndrome releases. Acetabular and pelvic fractures - nonoperative management only.
