Job DescriptionWith over 20 years experience in the aggregates business and more than 60 years in the construction materials industry, a company that is American Owned. American Operated.The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life while supporting mining activities. Heavy equipment will include large excavators (80K lbs. to 110K lbs.), articulating haul trucks, Komatsu HM400 40-ton, front-end wheel loaders, Caterpillar 980 and Komatsu WA500, etc.

Work Experience

• Experience operating large excavators ranging from 80,000lbs to 110,000lbs; articulating haul trucks, Komatsu HM400 40-ton, front end wheel loaders, Caterpillar 980 and Komatsu WA500 is required.

• Sound understanding of safety regulations, safe work practices, and work procedures and be capable of assisting in maintaining safe work sites.

• Good vision and spatial ability.

• Good eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity.

• Physical strength and stamina.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Plant maintenance experience is a plus

• Previous sand/gravel mining experience is a plus
