LHH is a global leader in talent solutions and recruitment. We are working with a well-established law firm in Lake Mary, FL, to find a skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join their team.

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience working in insurance defense litigation. The role requires strong organizational, research, and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail. As a key member of the legal team, you will assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, trial support, and post-trial motions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage discovery documents and responses.

• Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

• Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.

• Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other evidence.

• Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are in compliance with court rules and deadlines.

• Perform legal research and assist attorneys in the preparation of legal arguments.

• Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely filings with the court.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a paralegal in insurance defense.

• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and Florida rules of civil procedure.

• Proficient in case management software, legal research tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred, but not required.

Benefits:

• Salary: $75,000-$85,000/yr.
