Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Labor and Employment Attorney for our client in Los Angeles! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment and labor law, representing clients in workplace disputes, compliance matters, collective bargaining negotiations, and litigation.
Salary:
  • $125,000-$175,000 plus commission and bonus opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel on a wide range of employment and labor law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour compliance, and workplace policies.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies (EEOC, NLRB, DOL, etc.), and arbitration proceedings.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, non-compete clauses, severance agreements, and employee handbooks.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions, employee grievances, and workplace disputes.
  • Handle labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, union negotiations, and unfair labor practice disputes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for compliance with labor and employment laws to mitigate legal risks.
  • Defend employers in employment-related litigation, including class action lawsuits and wage and hour claims.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR professionals and management on employment law compliance.
  • Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar License in California.
  • 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, and state-specific labor regulations.
  • Experience representing clients in litigation, administrative proceedings, and dispute resolution forums.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and client counseling skills.
