The In-House Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides critical care in a temporary capacity at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. This role involves working a minimum of 36 hours per week and engaging in various mandatory education and orientation programs while ensuring compliance with hospital policies. Candidates must be licensed in Oklahoma and have relevant experience, including ACLS certification, to support patient care in a high-tech environment.

  • Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Committed to a 12 consecutive week assignment
  • Assigned to a specific unit, but due to fluctuating census, could be pulled to another unit or HHS facility
  • Scheduled for a minimum of 36 hours per week or 72 hours per pay period, including a minimum of six weekend shifts in a six-week schedule period (where applicable)
  • Complete hospital/nursing/computer orientation and credentialing with minimal unit orientation
  • Required to work holidays during their agreement period
  • Expected to work all scheduled shifts as assigned unless cancelled by the Staffing Office, department manager, and/or House supervisor
  • Expected to participate in all mandatory education
  • Evaluated by and held accountable for performance based on the standard hospital job descriptions for their respective position 
  • Expected to comply with all HHS policies, procedures, and patient care standards

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • A graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current certification in CPR.
  • Must maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • At least one year of experience as Registered Nurse. Will consider prior LPN experience where applicable.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) 

In-House Travelers acknowledge that this is a temporary employment assignment and are not eligible for benefits except those mandated by law. The In-House Traveler is ineligible for all differentials including critical staffing premiums.
