Job Description The Dwight D. Eisenhower Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed for the next generation of scientists and engineers who excel in the application of fundamental science and engineering. Candidates must demonstrate scientific productivity aligned with SRNL's strategic goals through peer-reviewed publications. Candidates must be capable of ideating novel concepts to yield creative solutions and demonstrate that ability through the submission of a research white paper that support the SRNL's mission.
The Postdoctoral Fellows are initial one-year appointments, with an option to renew up to three years. Publication of results from research efforts is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities White Paper ideally will support one or more of the following research areas:
- Advanced Manufacturing Process Optimization Modeling and Simulation
- Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Process Integration for Transformational Chemical Production
- Applied Artificial Intelligence
- Cementitious Materials
- Electric Grid Resilience
- Hydrogen Isotope Separations
- Nuclear Fuel/Nuclear Materials Processing Technologies
- Tooling for Nuclear Materials
- Ultra-sensitive Radiation Detector Development
Individuals studying engineering, science, or other science adjacent disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - PhD + 0-1 yrs
- Individuals must have completed all requirements for their PhD by the start of employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate level government security clearance for which a US citizenship status is legally required
Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrate critical thinking skills, data analysis skills and an ability to explore innovative scientific concepts.
