Successful Japanese restaurant s eeking a Head Bartender to be part of our restaurant opening team!
The ideal candidate will be working directly with Chef / GM to oversee the bar program, with an interest in learning about wine and sake. We're looking for someone with experience that is always looking forward to learning, growing and evolving within the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Work as Lead Bartender 5 days a week; Tues - Sat.
- Assist in developing classic & seasonal cocktail menu and curate a Japanese whiskey collection.
- Build cocktail recipes/program and train restaurant and staff step by step.
- Ordering, beverage organization and inventory tracking
- Beverage costing
- Oversee/complete bar prep for the cocktail program as needed
- In addition to the cocktail program, knowing about and being able to explain the ever-changing selection of wine and sakes on the Bar 109 program list
- Daily setup, restaurant / bar opening and closing, clean up, and breakdown
- Work in tandem with restaurant FOH & BOH team
- General cleaning as may be required including dishwashing, glass washing, glass polishing, bathroom maintenance, etc
