Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Sitka, Alaska Duration: 13 Weeks (4/1/25 - 9/30/25) Pay: $80-$83 per hour (stipend included) + up to $500 travel allowance Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg RN with a strong clinical background to join our team in Sitka, Alaska. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, able to float between Med-Surg, Emergency Department (ED), and ICU, and willing to work both day and night shifts as necessary. This position requires an active Alaska RN license at the time of submission and a flu vaccine. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across Med-Surg, ED, and ICU settings. Perform nursing procedures, assessments, and interventions based on evidence-based practices. Administer medications and treatments while following all safety protocols. Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and support staff. Adapt to a fast-paced environment, prioritizing care based on patient acuity. Ensure proper delegation and supervision of CNAs/Techs. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards. Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatments, and post-discharge instructions. Document assessments, care plans, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly. Qualifications & Requirements: Active RN license in Alaska (Required at Submission) BLS, ACLS, and PALS (Required at Hire) Must have or obtain flu vaccine prior to starting Willingness to work both Day and Night shifts as needed Ability to float between Med-Surg, ED, and ICU Must be able to commit to the full contract duration (4/1/25 - 9/30/25) with minimal to no RTO Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Med-Surg/ICU/ED experience preferred) Why Join Us?
