The Senior Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities:

1. The Senior Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments.
2. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings.
3. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
4. Begins to influence the department's strategy.
5. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components, with work performed without direction.
6. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Qualifications:

Technologists who are passionate about building software products on multi-Cloud and enjoy taking the lead in the end-to-end process will find this position very rewarding. These products center around facilitating bi-directional exchange of information using event-driven architecture across cloud-native platforms. The candidate will work in a small team focused on product engineering to define architecture, guide product engineers, and collaborate with other product engineers from cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

1. Requires a Bachelor's degree.
2. 5+ years of technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3+ years in security functional areas: application security, authentication and authorization, identity and access management, dynamic application security testing, static application security testing, data security, security monitoring, or SSO/2FA security, vulnerability management.
2. Advanced knowledge of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud-native and multi-cloud applications and infrastructure.
3. Cloud development and design experience.

Additional Information:

This role will be responsible for following security architecture guidelines and collaborating with cloud security teams to establish cloud-based architecture (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS). The position will report to the Associate Director, Technology Solutions, IT - Business Data Analytics.
