Job Description

Position Title: Senior Developer

Location: Bethpage, NY

Hire Type: Full Time Only

Relevant Experience & Experience Required

8 to 10 Years with experience in:

1. Elastic search administration
2. Hbase administration
3. Kafka administration
4. Linux, standard databases, file systems, scripting abilities, and networking knowledge

Technical/Functional Skills

1. BS/CS Degree in a technical field or at least 10 years relevant experience
2. 8 years’ experience in Elastic search administration, Hbase administration, Kafka administration
3. Experience developing and integrating software on LINUX platforms
4. Experience architecting enterprise applications and high-level architectural designs
5. Good understanding of using open source components and how to use them
6. Good to have experience in Networking & Scripting
7. Builds and maintains applications, application components and common services including the recommended use of languages and tools
8. Works with other engineers, QA, Documentation, and developers to design and implement application features, including user interface, business functionality, and database access
9. Seeks to understand how to innovate each service delivery chain, making practical recommendations to efficiently scale current and next-generation designs
10. Leads technical decision making exercises
11. Drives recommendations to gain consensus from all impacted groups
12. Remains informed on new technologies
