Senior Release Manager
Our client is seeking a Senior Release Manager to join their team and drive the successful execution of change and release initiatives. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can manage complex releases across multiple teams and geographies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in release and change management, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. The schedule offers some flexibility but may require occasional weekend work, approximately once per month.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end release process, ensuring seamless execution from planning to deployment.
- Develop and maintain an effective release framework with a continuous delivery mindset.
- Lead change management activities, including risk assessment, mitigation planning, and stakeholder alignment.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, product, quality, and operations teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Establish and track key metrics to measure release efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate release scheduling, go/no-go decisions, and post-release retrospectives.
- Communicate across various levels of the organization to provide updates on release progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Lead command center operations for critical releases and incident resolution.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise technology strategies and priorities.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a release management role.
- Strong background in change management and governance practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to drive solutions and think beyond immediate tasks to understand the broader impact.
- Proficiency in tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments requiring critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ITIL frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or related field is beneficial but not required.
Compensation: Up to $61.33/hr. (DOE)
