AWS Cloud Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support their infrastructure and ensure seamless cloud operations. This role requires expertise in AWS services, particularly around networking and infrastructure management using CloudFormation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and experience maintaining live cloud environments with minimal downtime through CI/CD best practices.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based solutions aligned with business needs and architectural standards.
- Manage infrastructure using AWS services, with a focus on networking and CloudFormation.
- Ensure system reliability and uptime by implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate within a team environment, effectively communicating technical concepts and project updates.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to sprint planning for small to moderately scoped projects.
- Work closely with product teams to assess business challenges and recommend scalable cloud solutions.
- Maintain and enhance consumer-facing applications to improve performance and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, software development, or a related role.
- Strong expertise in AWS services, including networking and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies to ensure continuous deployment with zero downtime.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with REST APIs is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment, particularly in consumer applications, is highly desirable.
Compensation: Up to $61.33/hr. (DOE)
