Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

1. Code solutions and implement automated unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
2. Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
3. Mentor other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
4. Execute story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
5. Perform proof of concept as necessary to implement new ideas or mitigate risk
6. Automate manual release activities
7. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
8. Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
9. Troubleshoot build and setup failures and facilitate resolution
10. Ensure execution and delivery meets technology's expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, performance, reliability, and timeline
11. Communicate status frequently to technology partners

Requirements:

1. Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
2. Able to understand various / complex application architecture to support setting up Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) and Continuous Testing
3. Hands-on DevOps experience for following functions (tools): Version Control (GIT/Bitbucket), Build Orchestration (Jenkins), Code Quality (SonarQube and Unit Testing frameworks), Artifact Management (Artifactory) and Deployment (Ansible). Experience with Database Build Deployment using Datical and Release Orchestration would be an added advantage
4. Hands-on experience in application development in one or more areas including Python, MongoDB, Redis, React Framework, Impala, Spark, Autosys, Shell scripting, Rest services
5. Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux platform, including LDAP-based authentication integration and clustering
6. Strong understanding of software architecture principles
7. Experience with enterprise integration patterns
8. Communicate effectively, clearly articulating technical issues, problem incident resolution, readiness status and reporting
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer support teams)
11. Detail oriented and highly organized
12. Adaptable to shifting competing priorities
13. Skilled at delegating, mentoring setting expectations
14. Problem solving skills to diagnose resolve complex issues
15. Committed and pro-active in ensuring high quality of service

Desired skills:

1. Experience with developing frameworks and tools specific to AI/ML applications
2. Familiarity with cloud platforms and development in cloud environments

Pay Range: $55.06 - $63.06
