$81,300.00 - $122,000.00 Annual Salary

Administration of field office to achieve project profitability and schedule goals.

Job Description:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Able to perform all essential Project Engineer responsibilities
  2. Attend and document project meetings (write minutes)
  3. Set up and maintain project filing system
  4. Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logs
  5. Distribute all documents to subcontractors, maintain document logs
  6. Assist with preparation of CPM schedules
  7. Assist with updating and maintaining master CPM schedule
  8. Evaluate field problems and document RFI’s
  9. Prepare and maintain RFI logs on CMIC system
  10. Review, evaluate, and transmit submittals
  11. Prepare and maintain submittal logs
  12. Prepare and maintain expediting log
  13. Perform expediting functions
  14. Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports
  15. Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost report
  16. Cost code and/or verify correct codes on time sheets
  17. Prepare and document extra work orders
  18. Review and assemble change order submittals and quantity surveys
  19. Maintain reference log on CMIC
  20. Maintain progress photo album
  21. Compile contract close out documents (O&M manuals, as builts, etc.)
  22. Document punch list work
  23. Complete other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Project experience on K-12 or Higher Education is a plus

  1. Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
  2. Minimum 2 years as Project Engineer
  3. Field experience desirable – e.g. carpenter
  4. Basic estimating and scheduling skills
  5. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  6. Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
  7. Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting
  8. Drafting and computer skills desirable
