Associate Resource Manager specializing in Recruitment and Client Services & Management at Saxon Global

Hybrid in Houston (T/W/TH onsite) – open to candidates who will relocate as well

Requirements:

• Must know how to write SQL queries.
• Familiarity with performance tuning.
• Some expertise and knowledge on database side preferred.
• 7+ years of Oracle programming experience.
• Toad and SQL Developer experience for SQL Queries.
• Oracle Fusion Middleware experience is a huge plus.
• Must be proactive and self-motivated.

Nice to have experience with:

- Any cloud support is nice: IBM, Google, Oracle Cloud

Responsibilities:

• As the Senior Developer, Applications, you will be primarily responsible for design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications in middleware platform.
• Interface with clients at all organizational levels and take business requirements to deliver technical work that yields productive products for end-users.
• Perform planning, development, coding, testing, migration to production, and maintenance of applications in multiple technical landscapes.
• Design user flows, platform architecture, software patterns, and data models to support current and long-term business needs.
• Adhere to application standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream application teams and Infrastructure teams to ensure overall success of the application.
• Troubleshoot production issues and remedy these in a timely manner with minimal disruptions.
• Participate in disaster recovery in case of disaster situation and support scheduled annual disaster recovery tests, including maintenance of required documentation and coordination of user participation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Certification - Training or Certification on Java, Cloud Solutions, and Oracle PL/SQL Language is an added plus.
• 5-7 years of demonstrated experience with Java language, SQL query construction using Oracle Database, TOAD/SQL Developer, Operating systems such as Linux and Windows, and ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware and Java Application servers like Oracle WebLogic, Apache, or IBM WebSphere and Internet technologies like HTML, XML, WSDL, Scripting languages, knowledge of SDLC activities on development projects.
• Understanding of Cloud Technology and Solutions.
