Law firm based on Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Secretary for their Costa Mesa office. This is a satellite office with no other support staff in it. The litigation secretary will be assigned to work with 2-3 litigation attorneys. Therefore, the candidate will need effective time management and organizational skills and be extremely detail-oriented.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Experience in e-filing in appellate, district, and California superior courts, calendaring litigation deadlines with input from attorneys.
- Familiarity with Compulaw, Best Authority, iManage.
- Experience researching filing procedures for out-of-state filings.
- Create TOC/TOAs, format and proofread documents
- Work in office 4 days a week
- Complete a litigation assessment during the interview process
