LHH is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Legal Scheduler to join a prestigious law firm in Tampa, FL . This role is ideal for an individual who is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. The Legal Assistant/Legal Scheduler will support attorneys and legal staff by scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings, while also assisting with document preparation and case file management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, hearings, depositions, and meetings for attorneys and clients.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize case files and legal documents in a clear and accessible manner.
- Assist with client communications and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage calendars and ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a legal support role (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
