Your role with the Client:
Directly hands-on and also able to oversee others in daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial processing equipment and facility maintenance, supervising the work of others but also directly working with start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical/mechanical/programming troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, hydraulics, pneumatics and more.
Milestones for Maintenance Manager:
- You are an expert in automated equipment , capable of troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and operating all machinery in the facility.
- The Client relies on you for fast, effective solutions to equipment issues.
- You have implemented a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program that ensures reliability, documentation, and accountability.
- You have established a building maintenance program for a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility.
Thirty-Day Milestones
- Learn start-up/shut-down procedures , document standardized work instructions.
- Familiarize yourself with all equipment (basic troubleshooting, jam clearing).
- Develop a maintenance coverage schedule for operations and PM work.
Ninety-Day Milestones
- Implement a PM schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) with proper documentation.
- Set up a parts inventory and purchasing system to optimize costs and tracking.
- Establish a building maintenance schedule for all areas.
One Hundred Eighty-Day Milestones
- Parts and supply ordering runs smoothly.
- PM program fully operational with reporting.
- Productivity and uptime improvement projects in place.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical, conveyancing, boiler, water treatment and automated equipment. Knowledge of basic building systems. Solid mechanical and repair skills.
- Must have knowledge of electricity, PLC’s, conveyors, and steam boilers.
- A high school diploma/GED required and other post-secondary training preferred.
- Knows that this is still a company growing from start-up so willing and able to roll up sleeves, being a working manager who can build a small team into a period of growth as well as working some weekends until a team is strengthened.
