PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. We are looking for energetic, results-driven individuals to join our rapidly growing team and industry.


The Total Rewards Coordinator is responsible for supporting the coordination of daily operations of PharmaCann’s benefit and wellness programs. This includes providing essential assistance to benefit-eligible employees by delivering prompt, accurate responses to their benefit-related inquiries.


Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate customer support to benefit eligible employees answering their inquiries regarding benefit options, enrollment process, and changes
  • Process COBRA continuation coverage elections within the COBRA vendor system
  • Assist with leave administration process
  • Organize, oversee and communicate annual open enrollment and ensure that all employee health and welfare enrollment elections are processed accurately in the company and vendor systems
  • Process benefit-related tasks associated with payroll processing deadlines
  • Conduct benefit orientation for all newly benefit eligible employees and assist with open office hours
  • Coordinate employee wellness initiatives and education through working with vendors or third parties while ensuring the effectiveness of wellness programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of benefits enrollment, participation, and claims
  • Generate reports on program utilization, costs, and employee feedback
  • Assist employees with offboarding including answering questions and resolving issues related to COBRA
  • Handle and process all benefit-related mailing items within a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding employee benefits
  • Ensure a positive employee experience throughout the benefits and rewards process
  • Assist in the development of a total rewards strategy that aligns with company culture and employee retention goals
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Total Rewards Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field. 4 years or relevant experience will substitute for degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a human resource and/or benefits professional
  • Experience working with several internal partners in a cross functional capacity e.g., talent acquisition, payroll, legal, employee relations, etc.
  • Intermediate MS Excel ability


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Requires employee to be in office a minimum of three days a week, working remote up to two days per week. Must be able to remain in stationary position for 70% of the day. Occasional evening, weekend or holiday work may be required.
