Your Impact:
You’ll work full time onsite with the Jacobs design-build team, vendors and subcontractors to coordinate on time delivery and successful startup of equipment in addition to working to ensure technical documentation (submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents) is up to date.
We’re looking for natural self-starters with the ability to identify issues and collaborate as necessary toward issue resolution. Working on a design-build team provides you with the unique opportunity to work directly and cohesively with both the design team and construction team making issue resolution as efficient as possible.
With a national presence in Design-Build construction, Jacobs will provide additional opportunities on projects in the Midwest and throughout the country at project completion.
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work with vendors, subcontractors and Engineering to achieve timely submittal approval.
- Coordinate RFIs to resolution with the assistance of the Engineering team.
- Expedite equipment to ensure on time delivery.
- Manage the receipt, storage, handling, installation and commissioning of process equipment.
- Ensure material/equipment is provided and installed in compliance with contract plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and maintain schedule associated with responsible scope.
- Manage and maintain as-built drawings and documentation.
- Assist with monthly cost projections for subcontractors and vendors under their responsibility.
- Manage the closeout process for subcontractors and vendors under your responsibility.
- Support project plan implementation for quality, change management, and safety.

Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor of Science in an applicable field with a minimum of 5 years of specific construction project experience.
- Experience in the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, water resources and/or conveyance type work.
- Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
- The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery that includes high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, some defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals as you would come to expect in the water and wastewater design build industry.

The base salary range for this position is $96,200.00 to $145,420.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
