Associate Attorney

Industry leading litigation firm with growth opportunities, looking for an Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will be an organized, driven and energetic individual with experience in civil/consumer law, familiarity with Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Song-Beverly, B&P 17200 and employment law. This position will be reporting to Elizabeth L. Kolar, Esq.

Job Duties

• Draft and argue law and motion
• Propound and respond to discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations and arbitrations
• Assist in trial preparation and attend trial with lead counsel
• Conduct research and analysis of legal issues
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients
• Advise clients on laws, rulings, and regulations
• Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications

• License to practice law in the State of California required
• Knowledge of the following: general civil litigation, personal injury, premises liability defense, handling of credit and financing law in relation to consumers and reporting, employment law, consumer warranty law is a bonus
• Prior deposition, mediation, and arbitration experience

Pay Scale: $115,000 - $175,000 per year based on experience
