Eliot is known for our innovative clinical approach, high quality clinical training and for having the most talented people in community behavioral health services.Eliot is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Assistant with experience working with adults in the mental health realm. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data management and multitasking. They will also show unwavering compassion to clients and the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesInterview clients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height and Review of Systems as indicatedEnsure clients are shown to examination rooms and prepare them for the physicianComplete brief medical and health assessments with clientsReconcile medications and vaccines with other medical personnelDevelop and implement systems to schedule appointments for clientsAs directed or indicated, provide education and wellness activities both individually and in groupsWork Client Registries via Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Access, Excel or other databaseMonitor the database to identify and reach out to those needing servicesAutomate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with the goals of their care.Act as liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation and other related information.Triage prescriber messagesProvide education about medications to clientsCollaborate with a range of multidisciplinary team members to meet the needs of clientsSchedule, review and enter lab resultsRequirementsExperience working with adults in the mental health realmCompassionate approach towards clientsAbility to work well as part of a multidisciplinary teamCapability to automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients overdue for medical care or out of compliance with care goalsActing as a liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation, and related informationProficient in triaging prescriber messagesExperience collaborating with a range of multidisciplinary team members to meet client needsCompetence in scheduling, reviewing, and entering lab resultsSchedule: 9am-5pm, Monday-FridayHourly Rate: $28.69/hour.Eliot is committed to identifying and dismantling barriers that prevent people with marginalized racial identities from actualizing their full employment potential, assuming leadership roles, or from fully engaging at all levels in the workplace.
