Our client's Corporate Department is currently seeking an exceptional mid-level associate to join its highly regarded Energy practice group in their Calgary Office. This group provides leading advice on all aspects of energy-related private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and complex project development transactions, including project structuring, co-ownership arrangements, operations, marketing, supply/off-take transactions, and new development involving industry conglomerates and investor groups to emerging independent producers and operators.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• 4-6 years of post call corporate/energy experience from a reputable law firm and/or a combination of private practice and in-house experience in oil and gas, power and renewables, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and/or project development
• Extensive transactional experience - inclusive of drafting and negotiation experience
• Above average transcripts/academics
• Team player
• Strong work ethic
• Client service orientated
• Qualified to practice law in Canada
