Job Title: Scientist (Analytical Support & R&D)
Location: Elkhorn, NE 68022
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr
About the Role:
We are seeking a Scientist to join our team, with a focus on analytical support and research & development in the Animal Health industry. This lab-based, onsite role is perfect for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Bacteriology , Biology , Genetics , Immunology , Microbiology , or Virology , and at least 3 years of bench-level laboratory experience in a relevant field. As part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you’ll help drive key biological research , method improvement , and analytical activities in support of our biologics and vaccines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform method improvement activities across multiple test platforms, including live virus and bacterial titrations , hemagglutination assays , and ELISAs (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays).
- Collaborate with Analytical Technology Solutions , Bioprocess Technology Solutions , R&D , Operations , and Quality Control teams to support research and in-line quality control assays.
- Assist with data evaluation , including basic statistics, and preparation of protocols, reports, and data packages for regulatory authorities .
- Prepare and/or audit in vitro test data for statistical analysis .
- Support Research & Development commercialization efforts and other cross-functional initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Conduct periodic laboratory cleaning , equipment calibration , and maintain good documentation practices, including data integrity .
- Assist in reference program activities and support local, regional, and global program initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant biological area (Bacteriology, Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, Virology).
- At least 3 years of bench-level laboratory experience in the Animal Health industry , preferably in an analytical support or R&D role.
- Expanded knowledge in at least one biological area or analytical platform; experience across multiple biological areas or platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) .
Required Skills:
- Experience with virus or bacterial titrations , hemagglutination assays , or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) .
- Strong communication skills , including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and summarize data and results for internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred (but not required) Skills:
- At least 1 year of Quality Control experience .
- Experience in project management .
- Data evaluation , including basic statistics .
- Preparation of protocols , reports , or data packages for regulatory submissions
