Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Sales Manager to join one of our largest Aerospace Manufacturing clients sitting onsite in Valencia, CA. This role is directly responsible for driving sales and marketing activities within a designated territory, region, account assignment, or market segment. This role focuses on strategic business development, customer relationship management, and revenue growth while ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Drive sales growth by expanding product sales with existing customers and identifying new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to secure new, profitable business.
- Identify new application opportunities, collaborating with customer technical and procurement teams on current and future programs.
Customer Relationship Management & Sales Execution
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement, contract negotiations, and direct selling efforts.
- Lead customer visits, presentations, and program discussions to promote products and capabilities.
- Actively contribute to pricing strategies and proposal development, ensuring alignment with profitability objectives.
Strategic & Market Analysis
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and insights on industry trends to support business planning.
- Develop sales forecasts and booking projections for assigned operating units and market segments.
- Support new product development initiatives with market insights and feasibility analysis.
Sales Operations & Distribution Management
- Oversee representative and distribution networks, optimizing channel performance.
- Manage strategic planning activities, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Support industry trade exhibitions and marketing initiatives, including advertising and promotional materials.
Compliance & Ethics
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in all business dealings.
- Resolve customer and internal challenges with fairness, integrity, and consistency.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
- 5-7 years of business management and sales experience in the aerospace industry.
- Strong ability to manage both OEM and distribution channels effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through strategic account management.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis and forecasting.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented approach to sales and business planning.
- Ability to develop pricing strategies and business cases for new opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in delivering proposals to executives and stakeholders.
- High level of adaptability to market changes and business demands.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
