SMX is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to support the USNAVSO/FOURTHFLT customer located at Mayport Naval Station, Florida. As a network Security Engineer, you will primarily serve as the Minotaur Information System Security Engineer and responsible for system security support to C4I systems, including, but not limited to, the Minotaur Mission Management System (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, CENTRIX, MAVEN). The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) on command and control integration, development, unmanned systems supporting current and future operational missions.

If you possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a self-starter able to manage multiple tasks in a timely/efficiently manner, and can make decisions in ambiguous conditions, while meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision we would love to speak with you.

This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide network security engineering support to USNAVSO/FOURTHFLT, including Minotaur Information System security
• Interface directly with Government customers, ensuring system security and support for C4I systems
• Serve as Minotaur Information Assurance Engineer, ensuring compliance with DoD IA guidelines
• Develop and implement network architectures, including cloud infrastructure
• Maintain RMF compliance, generate RMF products, and facilitate updates
• Configure switches, routers, and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS); optimize network functionality
• Install and maintain Minotaur Mission Management Systems (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS)
• develop plans for Government implementation to achieve customer objectives, support affiliated component units, government organizations, and partner nation missions in the USSOUTHCOM AOR

Required Skills & Experience

• Required clearance: TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity and network technology experience
• Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Data Engineer, CCNA - Security, CompTIA Security+
• Technical Skills: Data collection, storage, and monitoring; SPLUNK, ACAS, WIRESHARK, MS VISIO, Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Minotaur Mission Management Processor, Cisco ASA firewalls, VMware
• Experience with Windows Server, Solaris, RAID setups, and Red Hat
• Occasional travel required (up to 25%)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Minotaur Mission Management Processor and unmanned vehicles
• Interest in AI/ML applications; ability to work with Senior Executive Staff
