This role will be to understand performance through KPI, data analysis and implement standardization of processes. The engineer will also identify and execute improvements to production procedures, processes, and controls. The Engineer will be expected to execute and demonstrate excellence in elements of the role profiles for all Industrial Engineering work scopes and be interchangeable at any time to align with scope demand.

Qualifications:- Education: Relevant post-secondary education required - a bachelor's degree in engineering considered an asset
- Quality specific certifications i.e. Auditor training, Lean certification, Quality engineer certifications are all considered an asset
- Experience:
- 4-8 years' work experience in complex industrial or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing process assessment and development
- Demonstrated experience using Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tool sets in an industrial workplace setting
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships both with and among team members
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in English, both orally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Key Responsibilities:- Measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and maintaining process excellence
- Lead stakeholder engagement / change activities including leading change to improve production procedures, processes, and controls.
- Execution and coaching of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools such as: Root cause analysis, SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, FMEA, Fishbone, etc.
- Perform process improvement projects using lean & six sigma principles or discrete element simulation or other tools.
- Execute and implement key elements of Industrial Engineering's work breakdown structure: 5S standardization, standard operating procedures, performance metrics, capacity analysis, workplace standards, total productive maintenance, overall equipment effectiveness, process improvement
- Build relationships & communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
