Who is the Director, Senior Consultant of Data Strategy & Analytics?

This individual is responsible for the application of data-driven insights into Leap Group's planning, investment, and measurement process. Additionally, the role requires the you to design and lead the implementation of modern measurement plans and roadmaps for Leap Group clients.

This role is responsible for leading a team who enables data tracking, providing data-driven insights, and management of our data warehouse and visualization tools. You and your team are subject matter experts that are a vital part of the client team, functioning as expert technical points of escalation, analytical problem-solvers, and technical translators to internal account teams and clients alike. You provide ongoing strategic account direction/vision for technology, process, and digital reporting/insights.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead a diverse department in creating dashboards, enabling tracking, and extracting valuable data insights. Guide your team in orchestration of data workflows, methodologies, and interactive visualizations and ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection and analysis across various channels.

  • Lead the analysis of complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and insight. Translate data findings into clear, actionable strategies for clients. Ensure dashboards provide actionable insights for clients and internal teams. Work with strategists to provide guidance on how data can be utilized to inform annual planning insights and work with the team to help inform how data integration evolves the planning process.

Own alignment between data strategy, measurement frameworks, and client objectives. Collaborate with account directors, clients, strategists, and leaders to define audience frameworks and data strategies. Promote the use of DMP and CDP in data-driven use cases, application in campaigns, and wider dataset adoption. Define and support the implementation, measurement, and activation of data-driven use cases.

  • Become a trusted technology and data partner to clients, ensuring technology elements fit together and support goals, and proactively suggesting improvements. Regularly present insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in the execution of data-driven marketing program approach across agencies supporting digital directors in the development of data strategies for their client, setting best practice approaches, and educating strategy teams. Spearhead the development and integration of Data Enablement & Utilization tools.

  • Support and provide input into the media partnership strategy based on data strategy needs.

  • Assist new business development team by providing data-driven insights and presentations and collaborating on pitches and proposals to secure new business.


What do You Need?

  • Business Acumen


Includes: Previous agency or business consulting experience; ability to interpret client business/technical requirements and support in translating these into clearly articulated strategies to accelerate how data and technology supports the maximization of client business outcomes.

  • Digital Media and Marketing Expertise


Includes: Proven experience in a similar leadership role in data and analytics within an advertising and digital marketing settings; solid understanding of tradition and digital media data; experience and understanding of media buying, KPI development, and technology practices during campaign planning and execution; experience with media measurement tools; experience architecting innovative and effective digital marketing strategies and integrated solutions; excellent data-driven marketing strategy experience.

  • Strong Data Analysis/Insights Skills and Experience


Includes: Proficiency in analytics platforms; proficiency in data visualization tools and dashboards; knowledge of quantitative modeling techniques; knowledge of data types, sources, partners, and quality; expertise in leveraging data for activation and strategy; talent for translating complex data into actionable business insights.

  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills


Includes: Excellent storytelling and verbal/written communication skills; the ability to simplify complex digital concepts and distill them to their core ideas, themes, insights, and recommendations; excellent client presentation skills; dedication to teammates and a can-do attitude; ability to work effectively in a cross-functional capacity.
