Join our team as an Aerospace Quality Inspector, where you'll conduct inspections of machined and fabricated parts, fasteners, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. With a minimum of 10 years in aerospace quality, you'll utilize inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers, initiate non-conformance reports, and manage quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports. You should have expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5, a working knowledge of AS9100D, and experience with coordinate measurement machines. organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of parts and assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize inspection equipment, including surface plates, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Initiate non-conformance reports for any parts or assemblies that do not meet specifications.
- Generate corrective action requests for repetitive quality issues.
- Organize and manage quality records and documentation.
- Ensure calibration of inspection equipment meets required standards.
- Prepare AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and detailed inspection reports.
- Review quality documentation from subcontract manufacturers for compliance and accuracy.
- Update computer logs and complete receiving documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers to address missing or incorrect documentation.
