Job Description:
This role requires Canadian Enhanced Reliability Security clearance (a minimum of 5 years of consecutive residency in Canada).
Role Summary:
Applications Operations and Services (AOS) Pega Support Team is looking for a seasoned System Administrator to support our Pega Platform. The successful incumbent will have strong technical and problem-solving skills, will be able to work independently, and be accountable for results. As a member of the team supporting Pega, responsibilities will include incident response, infrastructure support (cloud and on-prem), stability, and performance management, as well as technical analysis, application development, and maintenance.
Main Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will provide support to production and non-production environments, deliver new functionality and modify existing configurations to deliver a best-in-class user experience. They will monitor and communicate performance/system availability to ensure quality of services are delivered.
Some of the specific responsibilities are:
Provide ongoing support of Pega applications, including responding to production and non-production incidents, complete service requests, provide problem analysis and resolution, escalation, and reporting as necessary.
Identify opportunities and participate in application stability, upgrade, and business continuity initiatives.
Mentor and share your experience and expertise with colleagues.
Assess application performance and along with client feedback, then provide recommendations on configuration and design changes to achieve positive results.
Apply analysis skills to understand and assess the impact of infrastructure and technical changes within the environment.
Provide development and infrastructure estimates at various levels of a project to match architectural solution, including assistance in business case creation.
Competencies:
Exceptional problem-solving skills. This role requires the individual to quickly analyze issues and determine solutions.
Certification and/or working experience with Pega Platform version 8 and higher. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a CSSA or LSA designation.
5+ years of demonstrated application and production support experience.
Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment.
Strong working background with client-server environments.
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) or similar database technologies.
Experience with technologies such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Java, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Experience using analytical tools such as Splunk, Pega Diagnostic Cloud, CloudWatch.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Experience with System Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies.
Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma, or equivalent experience.
Other Assets:
Background with ITIL Change Management and Release Management process.
Experience with source code management tools.
Experience with the Filenet P8 suite of tools.
Notes/Unique Requirements:
Flexibility with working hours, as required by operation or project demands. Occasional weekend and evening work in support of production implementations.
Potential occasional travel between SLF offices (Waterloo/Atria/Montreal).

Salary Range: 84,000 - 138,000
