Job Summary: The objective of the Forklift Truck Operator is to safely and effectively, move materials and goods, via industrial truck (sit-down, stand-up, and clamp), to and from warehouse storage to appropriate manufacturing areas. Material Handlers are also responsible for loading and unloading of tractor trailers. At times, the Forklift/Baler Operator will work closely with Bindery, Press and Maintenance support staff to help resolve issues. As a Baler Operator, you will be responsible for the following:
Duties/Responsibilities: - Operate the Bag House
- Weigh and grade scrap paper and waste
- Operate Baler to bale scrap paper and waste
- Schedule and load trucks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: - Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must work well with others.
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions.
- Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.
- The ability to work up to 10-to-12-hour shifts.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting and driving forklift truck.
- Frequently bending, twisting, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
