About the Role

Hi, I'm Cato, CEO and Co-Founder of Loop and I am hiring a Director of Sales to lead the charge in driving revenue and expanding our market presence. This role is an onsite position at our downtown Toronto office.

Where You Come In

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead our Business Development Team and drive our sales initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, forging key partnerships, and expanding our market presence.

You will lead our sales and business development efforts, identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. You will be expected to be on the front lines of sales while also overseeing, hiring, coaching and mentoring the Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Account Executives (AEs), Customer Success (CS) team, and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) at Loop.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Collaborate with Revenue Operations to establish sales goals / targets and compensation structures, implement effective sales methodologies, refine approaches and drive best practices to optimize performance.
  2. Manage and report accurate forecasts and pipelines, achieve sales goals & KPIs
  3. Track sales metrics across all sales teams, generate insightful reports, and identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  4. Present regular sales reports and updates to the leadership team, offering valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Sales Operations and Strategy

  1. Build the Loop sales playbook and methodology, focusing the sales team efforts on acquiring the highest potential customers for Loop.
  2. Design and implement a comprehensive sales and customer success strategy to achieve our company revenue targets.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day sales operations including ensuring efficiency, accuracy and adherence to established processes
  4. Collaborate with marketing to ensure a seamless operational process for managing inbound leads.

Team Management

  1. Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to execute inbound and outbound sales strategies.
  2. Manage, and inspire a team of sales professionals, including BDRs, AEs, CS team, and SDRs, to perform at their highest potential and to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
  3. Make sure the team is customer-obsessed, helping to address inquiries, concerns, and escalations promptly
  4. Ensure the team possesses a deep understanding of our products and can effectively communicate their value proposition to potential clients.

Lead by Example

  1. Handle client product demos, and bring value to clients by being an expert in cross-border banking, consulting & advising clients on appropriate products
  2. Be a business ambassador and increase the business visibility via online channels
  3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, ensuring exceptional service and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  4. Work closely with other teams at Loop (risk, finance, marketing, and operations) to streamline sales-related activities and drive revenue.

What We're Looking For

5+ years proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the tech industry.

You are a coach. You have previous experience leading highly successful and driven sales teams, with proven success of reaching and exceeding revenue targets

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Deep understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales performance analysis and reporting tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams.

Exceptionally clear and precise verbal and written communication skills.

You enjoy pushing things forward under pressure and can manage a large workload effectively.

It's a Bonus if You Have

  • Experience in Tech or SaaS, even better in FinTech
  • Experience working with small teams, particularly at start-ups

Salary range CAD$125,000-150,000 base annual, commensurate with experience

A rewarding commission structure for successful lead conversions

Equity ranging 0.1-0.25%

Enrollment in group's health benefits after probation period

This role is onsite in our downtown Toronto office
