?Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift . This position is based at our South Bend, IN location. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and be able to work with other plant functions to implement safety, quality, efficiency and capital projects and improvements. He/she will also fully document all work performed using work orders and written shift-to-shift communication.nnThe hourly rate for this position is $32.14 - $37.96 per hour + 7.5% shift premium.nnPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.nn?nnWhat you’ll do:nn• Troubleshoot/Repair and Maintain presses to include 1000 Ton up to 3000 Ton presses.nn• Weld/fabricate fixtures, equipment repair, guarding and plumbing using electrical/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to rebuild/repair equipment.nn• Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on presses and other plant equipment.nn• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes and hoists; Perform rigging as required.nn• Adhere to all plant safety requirements to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.nn• Participate as a leader on the maintenance team for major repairs, as a team member in resolution of manufacturing problems, troubleshooting and productivity improvement analysis as a task force member on activities such as peer selection job evaluation and equipment selectionnnQualifications:nnBasic (Required) Qualifications:nn• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.nn• Minimum of three (2) years Industrial electrical/mechanical experience OR Associates degree in Industrial/Electrical Maintenance, Automation OR a Journeyman card.nn• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.nn• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipnnPreferred Qualifications:nn• Allen Bradley PLC experiencenn• 2 years of electrical/automation experiencenn• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related fieldnn• Experience using a CMMS system is preferred.nnSkillsnn• Ability to work all shifts.
