Quality Technician

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products Northeast Distribution Center. You will be mainly accountable for: Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.
Qualifications for the role
- You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with relevant tools and methodologies.
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 2 months of experience in Quality Assurance
- You are at ease communicating in English
- You hold current United States VISA/work permit
- High School diploma or equivalent and minimum 2 year experience in a distribution environment, preferably in continuous improvement, quality, or inventory control
- Analytical and research skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Excel and Word
- Knowledge of TOPS and MARC systems. BMH and KBM system knowledge a plus
- Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as order picker, reach truck, forklift, and pallet jack
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Detailed and team oriented
- Flexible to work different shift if necessary and overtime with little or no notice
- Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Exposure to distribution center conditions, which may include loud noises, variable temperatures, and dusty environment
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
