Job Title: Superintendent of ConstructionnnJob DescriptionnnThe Construction Superintendent will manage construction projects for a general contractor/construction management company in SW Michigan.nnThis role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing project tasks by supervising field staff, sub-contractors, and ensuring overall project safety and quality.nnThe Superintendent will monitor construction activities from the start of the project through completion and will serve as the primary communication link between trades, disciplines, clients, and office leadership.nnReporting directly to the Project Manager and Construction Director, this role requires daily reporting and proactive communication.nnProjects will include commercial, education/K-12, retail, and industrial sectors, with values ranging from $3M to $5M.nnConstruction types will include pre-engineered steel buildings, structural masonry, steel frame, and wood frame.nnResponsibilitiesnnManage jobsite safetynnOversee project quality controlnnReview submittalsnnSchedule project tasksnnManage project materialsnnMaintain daily reporting logsnnCommunicate with trades/sub-contractors, clients, and office leadershipnnMust Have Qualificationsnn3+ years of experience running and managing construction projects involving multiple disciplines/trades (electrical, mechanical, carpentry, exterior)nnExperience managing construction projects valued at $3.5M+nnExperience with construction projects in commercial, education, and healthcare sectorsnnAdditional Skills & Qualifications (nice to have)nnProject Management experiencennEstimating experiencennExperience with $10M+ projectsnnWork EnvironmentnnThe Superintendent will work on job sites around the SW Michigan area, including commercial buildings, schools, fire stations, and county buildings.nnThe role includes a company truck, gas card, and cell phone.nnThe weekly schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime.nnAbout ActalentnnActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
